Welcome to The Contemporary Movement Project
Where art is always evolving and merging...
The Contemporary Movement Project excels in:
Choreography
We specialize in a collaborative, inclusive approach that weaves together contemporary, ballet, and modern dance vocabularies to create dynamic and expressive movement experiences. Our mission is to foster an environment rooted in diversity, equity, and inclusion, where every dancer feels safe, valued, and empowered.
We prioritize both mental well-being and physical development, recognizing dance as a powerful tool for expression, connection, and storytelling. Our choreography explores real-world themes and emotional narratives, aiming to spark conversation and relatability. We work primarily with small groups (up to ten dancers) to ensure individual voices are heard and integrated into the creative process.
Our aesthetic embraces both fluidity and structure, encouraging attire that supports movement clarity and comfort—typically tight-fitted pants with loose tops. We value a grounded, sensory connection to movement, often dancing in socks or barefoot. Above all, we are committed to cultivating spaces where dancers move with authenticity, vulnerability, and purpose—building a community defined by mutual respect, creativity, and support.

Our feedback makes us a stronger community..

I'm a collector of several surreal paintings by John Rachel. I thank the contemporary movement project for introducing me to his work.
Nina Holton

I would most definitely recommend the contemporary movement project. I could watch and stare at Isabel Lago's works all day.
John Smith

I loved the experience. From purchasing the piece of art to hanging it on my wall, it's like I had an assistant.
